Life Inventory

When asked about why they are stressed, many people say, "it's just the way I am". This simple exercise can help you to see if this is true. You look at all areas of your life and see if they are adding to your stress. You also look to see if you can do anything about it.

Many areas of life will involve at least some stress. Instead of YES/NO questions, you are asked to rate how stressful it is using a 10 point scale. Look at the example below:

Not at all 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Very much so

Look where the dot has been placed. The person is saying that, by and large, he is not a tense person by nature.

Now, answer the questions by clicking at the point that best describes how you feel. Decide whether the stress in each area is under control. If it is adding to your stress, try to think of ways to control it.

The further to the right you place your cross, the more of a problem it may be for you.
